With the more successful Apple Mac Notebooks, good sync-solutions for Windows
Mobile and Mac OS are becoming more important as well.
Following Eltima Software's earlier public Beta of SyncMate, the developer
now released an updated version of SyncMate. SyncMate 1.3 lets users synchronize
Favorites, Contacts, Calendar, Notes from any Windows Mobile 5.0 and 6 devices
with their analogues Bookmarks, Address Book, iCal, Stickies on Mac OS and vice
versa - and it supports synchronization via USB cable or WiFi (something which
was removed from Microsoft ActiveSync years ago). SyncMate Expert allows to
synchronize iPhoto, iTunes, Folders, Notes and Time and includes SMS Manager and
Applications List manager.

You can even share Internet, manage text messages and install applications to
your device. Much has changed since the release of the beta version. The
application became much more stable, gained new functions and supports large
amount of devices. In the last release the following features were added:
- New "mount disk" feature gives you the ability to mount your mobile device
as a drive (currently in BETA stage)
- Synchronization with Google contacts using "Contacts" plug-in
- Synchronization with Google calendar using "iCal" plug-in
- Call filters in "Calls history" plug-in
- New "Reset history" feature to delete synchronization history for each
plug-in
- Ability to disable automatic synchronization
The basic version of SyncMate is still absolutely free and can be downloaded
and installed straight away. It is neither a demo version, nor it is a trial
version but it is fully-functional version.
However, if you want more functions, SyncMate Expert is available from US$ 39.95
from Eltima Software's website.
